The other day at the IT center of University of Wollongong, I saw a large queue of students waiting to get their passwords re-set as they had forgotten them.
There were two dedicated persons of the IT department doing the task of re-setting user passwords and giving a printout to the students.
Re-setting user passwords of Active Directory users is a major problem for most organizations as there is no option for users to retrieve or set new passwords in case they forget their existing passwords. They have to turn to the help desk to re-set their passwords.

Updating Active Directory groups with correct membership can be a tiresome process if groups contain a large number of members and the membership is modified frequently.
For example, in large universities with thousands of students and hundreds of faculties, students are frequently added to the groups of their respective faculties. The removal of students from these groups is as frequent due to students dropping off from courses.
